In response to the Travel Ban enacted in early 2017, Sacred Kitchen organized an evening of honoring the immigrants who bring food to our table.
Behind every great meal you eat and every bit of food you buy, there are the work of many hands. Many of those hands belong to immigrants yet their work is mostly invisible.
These are Kitchen Heroes. They may be kitchen professionals and they may simply be the people we eat dinner with. They are our parents, our partners, or our friends. In light of our national climate, it’s time we come together to celebrate immigrants and our shared immigrant roots.
